NEW YORK, NY (November 30, 2015) – Brookfield mourns the loss of Chairman of Global Operations John Zuccotti who passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, November 19.
“John was a great inspiration, friend and mentor to all who he touched at Brookfield, just as he was with countless New Yorkers throughout his long and storied career. Brookfield and New York would not be the same without many decades of John’s wisdom, uncanny insights, and unbridled enthusiasm,” said Ric Clark, Chairman of Brookfield Property Group.
“John’s sudden passing is difficult news to process and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Susan, their three children and eight grandchildren during this sad time.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 7 at 10:30am at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, formerly Avery Fisher Hall, with a reception immediately following.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn; the New York Blood Center; or the Group for the East End/Accabonac Protection Committee in Bridgehampton, NY.
